Let's talk about my first ever work experience!

 

First Job

This was my first ever career since my graduation in college and training program back to my country, Philippines. I was a graduate in Hospitality and Tourism Management major in Travel and Tourism Management and completed a one month intensive training in ICATS. 

This wasn't my dream job but it was a blessing in disguise. I started to love this job and it became my passion. 

I was invited to a job interview in this company with the role of Receptionist. I was thinking if should I attend and take this opportunity, lucky me I did!

After the interview it was just a day and they've emailed me if I can start immediately. And I did! After few days I was thinking, this wasn't what I am expecting for, there's no training for me, it was just all about observation and self learning. But, I prayed and stayed. That was the first ever decision I made for myself, for my career. 

For two months I was working as a Receptionist and Admin and became an Event Executive. It was that fast! I enjoyed that time especially it was the peak season for events. We were handling both corporate and social events. It was exciting because I got to discover different emirates in U.A.E and met people in different culture and nationality. Time flies, I wasn't just seating inside the office but I was working outside and on site during our events. 

I was exposed for more than two years in this company and it was a roller coaster. It was mixed emotions. Sad, Happy, blessed, grateful, scared, terrified, overwhelmed, and etc.. But in the end I did it! All by myself.
