My first ever flight

"This is my first ever flight"

This blog I about how my journey began without any experience abroad.

remember it was the month of April year 2017, when I flew with my dream airline bound to one of the most dreamt city of many. EMIRATES and DUBAI! It was somewhat a dream come true! Nah - It wasn't a dream before. My dream was to become a flight attendant of Emirates Airline.
So my family and I decided to leave my country to look for my career path. So, this is the beginning of my journey...

It was a smooth process for my brother to get a sponsorship for me to visit Dubai. In a span of one month I received all my documents (my visit visa and ticket). When I was notified that I 'll be leaving home soon, I was so excited without feeling nervous and thinking if I can make it alone or whatever. That is the first time I'll be leaving the country! It was my first flight ever especially flying with my dream airline job. Getting back, It was the week before my flight. I have to say goodbye to my family and closest friends, so I did. I really spent quality time with everyone without realizing how time is really fast!
I was on the airport, at Clark International Airport to be particular. I was lucky that I had my internship there too! I got the chance to meet my internship colleagues as they assisted me. They know it's my first time!! :)  While waiting for my boarding I spent all my time with my friend 'Frances' as she's working inside the airport back then.

Time to board! I suddenly felt the loneliness and sadness. I even felt that 'butterfly in my stomach' as they say. I was seating on the back row of the plane where all those cabin crews and emirates staffs usually seats. How did I know? My plane seat mate told me. I was so shocked when he asked me "Are you a cabin crew?" and I answered "I am not." then he asked again "Sorry I thought you were. So, which department do you work?" and I'm like " I am not working either. I'm just a normal passenger, a tourist." and he said "Oh! Sorry, I asked caused most of the passengers here at the back row are working with Emirates or a family member ." After that conversation, I got the feeling of excitement to work.  I thanked that person as he motivated me to pursue my dream job!

Looking at the cabin crews of emirates I felt exhilarated. I also felt safe during the flight as I was overwhelmed with lots of Filipinos on board! Overall experience with Emirates was really good! Fast forward... We arrived at Dubai Airport safe and sound.
